Lumbar Spinal Stenosis

What is lumbar spinal stenosis?

A gradual narrowing of the spinal canal in the lower part of the back. Lumbar stenosis can cause difficulties with walking, back pain, and numbness in the legs.

Will my pain go away?

Treatment may increase strength and endurance, especially with walking, as well as help you to return to activities you enjoy.

What can I do?

To help speed up recovery, it is important for you to participate in your care with your healthcare provider. In addition, continue day-to-day activities even if you experience some pain (within reason).
